Law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman has promoted Ben Hobden to partner in its Cayman Islands Litigation and Restructuring team.

Hobden joined Conyers in early 2012 from a large regional firm in the UK and is ranked in both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500. He has a broad practice and his expertise includes all aspects of insolvency and restructuring, schemes of arrangement, s238 shareholder appraisal cases, shareholder disputes and cross-border commercial disputes.

The Cayman Litigation and Restructuring team now stands at 14 attorneys including four partners, based between the Cayman and Hong Kong offices.

Head of department Paul Smith said: “We are both pleased and excited to announce Ben’s well deserved promotion and consider it a reflection of the faith that both clients and we as a firm have in him. Adding a fourth partner to the rapidly expanding global Cayman litigation and restructuring offering means that we are now in a fantastic position to continue to provide the world-class and dedicated service to our clients with which the team has become synonymous.”
