24-10-2019

Paradigm Governance Partners, which offers independent director services, distressed fund and value recovery services and outsourced accounting services, has hired an experienced fund professional to assist the business in its rapid growth.

Jessica Lopez joins Paradigm from KPMG Cayman Islands where she worked as an Assistant Accountant with the Insurance and Enterprise audit practice. During this time, she worked on some of the island’s largest enterprise companies as well as taking the lead in various captive audits.

Prior to her audit work at KPMG Cayman Islands, she performed a Finance and Operations role at Greenlight Re, a NASDAQ listed company who provides risk management products to the insurance and reinsurance marketplace.

Paradigm was formed in 2017 in the Cayman Islands by Geoff Ruddick, Glenn Kennedy and Nic Corsetti on the back of a growth in demand for premier quality fiduciary services. Since launching in 2017, Paradigm has grown significantly with six people now at the firm. Its directors and consultants provide complementary skillsets ranging across all aspects of the alternative investment industry, including risk management, legal, regulatory, audit, accounting, compliance, valuation, trading and recovery.

Ruddick said: “We are pleased that our service model and approach to corporate governance has been well received as we remain focused on enhancing our services and providing our clients with bespoke and expert solutions. We continue to attract talent with a diverse skillset and are thrilled to have Jessica join us as her depth of experience will further support and add value to our existing team.”

Corsetti said: “We have been very pleased that Paradigm has seen tremendous growth across multiple service lines since our launch in 2018. We have now doubled in size and expect this growth to continue as we approach 2020.  We are absolutely thrilled to have Jessica join the team as her depth of experience in accounting, insurance and administration will further strengthen our fiduciary and accounting service offerings.”

Lopez said: “I am very delighted to have joined such a collaborative and diverse team where I have the opportunity to grow and learn new things from highly experienced professionals in an industry which is experiencing continual regulatory change. I am enjoying all of the new challenges and look forward to continuing to support the team.”
