Canadian corporate lawyer David McIntyre has joined Ogier’s Cayman team.

McIntyre has more than 25 years’ experience and was most recently a senior partner in Norton Rose Fulbright’s Toronto office. In addition to his time in private practice, McIntyre also held senior, in-house roles with Norton Rose Fulbright, and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt.

His new role will be split between Ogier’s Cayman corporate and commercial legal team, and the firm’s director services team. McIntyre’s admission to the Cayman Bar is pending.

Bradley Kruger, a partner in Ogier’s Cayman corporate and commercial team, said the firm continues to see significant activity within the natural resources and commodity sectors where the international nature of the operations and assets means that offshore structuring is routinely employed.
