Harneys recruits two into banking and finance unit

Harneys has hired Nicole Pineda as a partner and head of banking and finance in its Cayman office.

Pineda advises international corporate and financial institutions on all forms of financing transactions involving the Cayman Islands. Her expertise relates to structured finance, including US CLOs and emerging market future cash flow backed securities, international capital markets, project and infrastructure finance, secured lending and fund finance.

Cayman managing partner, Marco Martins said: “I am absolutely delighted Nicole has joined us. Nicole is a highly regarded Cayman lawyer. Both her experience and her reputation bring powerful synergies to our existing US and Latin American practices. She is a fantastic addition to our team. We are thrilled!”

Harneys has also recruited Ana Lazgare as an associate to its Cayman banking and finance practice.

Lazgare advises on all aspects of Cayman corporate and commercial law, including corporate finance, structured finance and securitization, CLOs, emerging market future cash flow backed securities, project and infrastructure finance and fund finance.

Martins added: “Ana is a strong addition to our banking and finance practice and we are delighted to have her on our team. This is an incredibly exciting time for our Banking and Finance practice where we expect to see further growth this year.”

Lazgare has a close connection with Mexico having worked earlier in her career at the Ministry of Economy and at a law firm in Mexico City.
