Estera partners with U Law; renames it Estera Law (Cayman)

Estera, a provider of corporate, funds and trust services, has announced the launch of legal services in Cayman Islands and Bermuda. Estera Law will provide legal services in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands which are aligned to clients’ individual objectives and preferences. Estera’s legal services will cover a number of practice areas such as corporate and commercial, regulatory, insurance and investment funds.

The company said providing legal services will enable Estera to broaden and deepen relationships with clients in the Americas, Bermuda, the Cayman Islands and Hong Kong.

In the Cayman Islands, Estera has entered into a business affiliation relationship with U Law which has been renamed as Estera Law (Cayman). Kendra Foster will be leading the legal team as Managing Partner.

Foster has extensive experience in the Cayman Islands financial services industry and was the founding principal of U Law. Prior to founding the firm, Foster worked for a prominent offshore law firm in the Cayman Islands and served as the Deputy Compliance Director of a multi-national corporate service provider.

In Bermuda, Alison Dyer-Fagundo will lead the legal team as Managing Partner of Estera Law (Bermuda). Dyer-Fagundo was a former partner of a global offshore law firm and has extensive experience in private equity transactions, derivatives, public and private company M&A activity, equity and debt markets, corporate governance, and partnerships in relation to both their formation and on-going transactions.

Dyer-Fagundo said: “This is a truly exciting development for our firm as clients now have the option of instructing us for both their legal and fiduciary services.
