Fund governance firm DMS Offshore Investment Services has expanded its international tax compliance group with the appointment of Roman Ipfling.

Ipfling joins from KMPG in the Cayman Islands where he served as the US tax manager.

He will serve as global co-lead of the international tax compliance group at DMS, responsible for management operations, systems and reporting. Peter Stafford, attorney-at-law, remains global co-lead of the group.

“Roman’s addition to DMS ITC Group will strengthen what is already the largest, most experienced international tax information services team in the industry and we are very pleased that he has chosen to join the firm,” said DMS chief executive officer Anne Storie.

“With Roman’s FATCA expertise, tax credentials and proven leadership in the global financial sector, we expect the DMS international tax compliance group will continue to develop even more groundbreaking tax information compliance solutions, as new regulations come on stream.

“We will continue to offer Cayman Islands investment funds balanced insight, practical advice and the full range of services to comply with all relevant laws and reporting standards,” she added.
