Conyers Dill & Pearman, an offshore law firm which has operations in the Cayman Islands, has become a member of the INSOL International’s Group of 36.

INSOL is an association of accountants, lawyers and lenders who specialise in the insolvency and credit process, and are dedicated to the reconstruction and rehabilitation of troubled businesses.

The G36 is a group of member firms and organisations within INSOL, who are involved in advancing the organisation through special projects such as, high-level research and educational initiatives.

These projects are key to the future development of INSOL. They continue to promote a wider knowledge-base for members and drive the strategic vision of the organisation.

“As president of INSOL International it is my pleasure to welcome Conyers as a new member of INSOL’s Group of 36,” said Mark Robinson, president of INSOL International. “Over many years Conyers has supported INSOL in various endeavours including seminars, conferences, articles, technical publications and setting up RISA Bermuda, a vibrant new Member Association of INSOL.

He added: “I am very confident that the firm’s international reputation advising on the laws of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands and Mauritius, and the energy of its partners, will enhance the resources of the Group of 36 and INSOL.”

Robin Mayor, director, litigation & restructuring in Conyer’s Bermuda office, added: “We are delighted to have been invited to join the Group of 36. We have had a long association with INSOL in our Bermuda, BVI and Cayman practices.

“We look forward to working closely with the organisation and with other members of the Group of 36.”
