Conyers Dill & Pearman promotes two in Cayman

Law firm Conyers Dill & Pearman has made promotions across its global teams, including two appointments in the Cayman Islands. Six attorneys have been appointed to the role of partner or director.

Tania Dons and Richard Fear have been promoted in the Cayman Islands office.

Dons’ practice covers a broad range of general corporate, finance and insurance work with a particular focus on investment funds.

She works extensively with hedge and private equity fund managers and their onshore counsel on all aspects of the establishment, maintenance, restructuring and financing of offshore investment funds in the Cayman Islands. She represents large financial institutions and investment managers, as well as boutique and start-up managers.

Fear is an internationally recognised attorney whose practice covers a broad range of corporate, finance and funds work, with particular focus on corporate finance, M&A, stock exchange listings, private equity, structured finance and corporate reorganisations.

His client base includes international banks, investment managers and international corporate groups.

A number of other staff across Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and Singapore have also been promoted.

Guy Cooper, based in the Bermuda office, advises on corporate finance, initial public offerings, acquisitions, reorganisations and other general corporate and commercial matters pertaining to Bermuda law.

Also in Bermuda, Neil Henderson’s practice includes all aspects of Bermuda corporate and commercial law.

Jerry Samuel, based in BVI, has a practice that covers all aspects of commercial and civil litigation.

Preetha Pillai advises on Bermuda, BVI and Cayman Islands corporate, securities and funds matters from Conyers’ Singapore office.
