The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) has appointed two senior officials.

Razaak Busari has joined as deputy head of the insurance supervision division and Garth Ebanks has been appointed as deputy head of the investments and securities division.

Busari joins from the Qatar Financial Centre Regulatory Authority where he served as an associate director. His financial career began in 1999 as an associate with the UK’s Financial Services Authority.

Ebanks, who was previously employed at KPMG as an audit manager, joined the Authority in October 2013 as a chief analyst in the investments and securities division.

Cindy Scotland, CIMA’s managing director, said: “I am extremely pleased to have both of these gentlemen as a part of the Authority’s management team. Mr Ebanks is a young Caymanian with a very bright future ahead of him and I am confident that he will make us proud.”
