Appleby boosts dispute resolution team

28-07-2015

Law firm Appleby has appointed Victoria King, a recently admitted attorney at law of the Cayman Islands, to its dispute resolution team.

King was awarded a full legal scholarship from Appleby in 2011 and studied at the University of Law in Manchester. She joined the firm in late 2013 under its articled clerk programme, following completion of her legal studies.

Bryan Hunter, managing partner at Appleby (Cayman), said: “We are delighted to have Victoria join our dispute resolution team and we’re confident that her placement with Maitland Chambers allowed her to broaden her legal perspective and hone her skills; it provided her with an invaluable experience and a wealth of knowledge she can draw upon during her career.”

King added: “I am thrilled to have reached this milestone in my career and I’m looking forward to working with the dispute resolution team at Appleby.”

She is among 19 of the young Caymanians who have been awarded legal scholarships from Appleby in the last six years.
