01-09-2013

Law firm Appleby has appointed Dylan Wiltermuth as an associate, specialising in mergers andacquisitions, and capital markets.

This is the fourth senior appointment to the practice in less than two months, something the firm says reflects its commitment to Cayman and is a direct reflection of its growth in market share in the jurisdiction.

Bryan Hunter, Cayman office managing partner, said: “Appleby has been strategically promoting and hiring corporate and corporate finance lawyers over the last six months or so in direct response to client demand and an increase in the number of corporate transaction matters coming into our business.

“Since the appointment of Ian Gobin as a Cayman-based partner and global head of funds, we have brought in to the Group senior associates Jonathan Bernstein and James Kinsley and transferred Andrew Harding here from our Isle of Man team. In addition, we have further bolstered the team with several counsel and senior associate promotions. Dylan’s expertise in corporate finance will stand to further strengthen Appleby’s corporate and commercial offering to our clients. We are delighted to have him on the team.”

Prior to joining Appleby, Dylan was an associate with Kirkland & Ellis International in their London office, where he specifialised in corporate finance. Before joining Kirkland Ellis, Dylan worked with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
