100 WHF (Cayman) to hold inaugural charity gala

The Cayman Islands chapter of the global organisation 100 Women in Hedge Funds (100WHF) will hold its inaugural charity gala dinner on Saturday 3 May 2014 at the beautiful Tiki Beach, Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman.

The event will raise funds for the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre (CICC), Cayman’s only women’s shelter.

100WHF is a global organisation of more than 12,000 professionals in the alternative investment funds industry. It donates to a range of philanthropic causes in the support, promotion and education of women, with charitable Galas held across the globe every year.

The founders of 100WHF (Cayman) said they had been thrilled at the response to event sponsorship opportunities. As part of the evening's festivities, Jane Buchan, chief executive of Pacific Alternative Asset Management Company will be honoured as the 2014 recipient of the North American Industry Leadership Award. Buchan will receive the award at the New York Gala to be held in New York City on November 12, 2014. 100WHF presents its North American Industry Leadership Award annually to a woman whose professional talent, business ethic, and passion for investing help define and advance the alternatives industry's standards of excellence.
